Block one of Blue Bird of Hope. I'm not sure about the colour of the chain stitch around the edge so this may need to be re-done in a lighter thread. I've decided to make a few more blocks before I unpick.
Recently I've seen some cute suffolk-puff flower cards on scrap-booking sites. I liked the way people had written quotes on the card so I searched some 'quote' sites for sayings about flowers. I really liked this one by Hans Christian Anderson -
Just
living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little
flower.
So out came my Go Baby, I cut some circles, made some suffolk puffs and now I have some dear little cards to put in with swaps.
TODAY'S FABULOUS FREE STUFF
Ribbit. He is irresistible. Once I get my car fixed I'm going out to buy some green wool. I've been meaning to make some toys for Softies for Mirabel so this will be my first. I think I'll wait for the cooler weather though. The bureau says it got to 36C (96.8F) yesterday, here in northern Melbourne and today is going to be as hot. Even my poor little budgies were panting.Thank you Spud and Chloe for this adorable pattern.
LAST DAY FOR MY GIVEAWAY
Just scroll down to my 500th post. I'll announce the winner tomorrow.

MAX
Max will be heading home soon, so I've been taking a few photos of him. He is very photogenic.
I'm going to really miss him.
I love the blue and white block-it looks beautiful. The darker blue chain makes the block POP, well thats my opinion?
