I am so lucky to have such wonderful blogging friends.
Michelle Ridgeway is one of the sweetest and most talented people around and I feel so lucky that we are blogging friends. Look what arrived in the post. This little chap is absolutely adorable. Thank you so much Michelle. I will always treasure him.
I'm a member of Quilting Block Swaps Australia and a parcel from my amazing swap partner, Sheryl was also waiting for me when I got home. I was totally and completely spoilt by lovely Sheryl.
She sent me two gorgeous blocks, fabric, a large mug rug and the sweetest little bear and a pair of beautiful stork scissors. How wonderful. Thank you so much Sheryl. I was just thrilled.
On the subject of friends - today my Wednesday sewing group had our Christmas break-up. We went to the Harndorf Chocolate shop in North Balwyn and had a wonderful time. There was much frivolity, the exchange of Kris Kringle gifts and plenty of delicious treats to eat.
On Tuesday I met up with two other members of the group who couldn't be there on Wednesday.
It was fabulous to catch up with Bronwyn from Korumburra Quilting and Jacquie from Jacquie Campbell Beads. We had a fabulous time at the Stone House in Warrandyte. It's on the river and is such a gorgeous spot.
I don't think I've laughed so much since the last time I met up with Bron and Jacquie.
On the way I stopped at one of my very favourite shops and I thought I'd share it with you in case you are ever in the area and haven't discovered it yet.
It's called Homing Instincts and is at 270 Yarra Street, Warrandyte. That morning John had announced that he needed a Kris Kringle present for today. Very short notice but I knew I'd find something gorgeous at this shop and I did.
I'm very bad because I was supposed to be shopping for others but I bought myself a present. It is so sweet and I really did need a new purse.
All in all lots of delicious treats to eat, fabulous presents and wonderful friends. What more could a girl want! Hope you are having as much Christmas fun as me.
PS Sorry I'm so far behind in visiting your wonderful blogs. I plan to spend tomorrow afternoon catching up with you all, seeing what you have been doing and saying hello. I can't wait.

Looks like you've been having a ball! I'm afraid I mucked up my days, waking this morning & realizing I had neglected to do a Tues Treasure - so it will just have to wait till next week now. Hugs to you

ReplyDeleteLots of lovely goodies there. I actually went to Homing Instincts for the first time yesterday. I had one present left to buy and I called in after having lunch at Warranglen Nursery. I found the perfect gift. This last present had been the hardest to buy!

ReplyDeleteI've been so busy with Christmassy things that I've not been visiting blogs. Just retrieved my laptop from eldest DH and I'm having a quick tour - lovely to see all the things that you have been doing. Just love shops that have a few different things - getting harder to find these days. Beautiful gifts and beautiful friends. Take care.
