I've been reflecting on my love for my children whilst thinking of a terrible tragedy which has occurred in the life of one of my close friends. I have mentioned my friend, Liz, on this blog many times. Many of you know her as elliek or Elizabeth of The Village Quilters. Tragically her 27 year old son, Christopher, passed away on Sunday morning. I can't think of any words that express the degree of sorrow I feel about this. My deepest heartfelt condolences to Liz, Michael, Rachel, Hannah, Andrew and the rest of their family.
Christopher was a fine young man and a truly good human being who will be sadly missed.
No Mr Linky this week, instead please take the time to think of those you love and maybe give them a call and tell them so.
Oh Melody, I feel sick for Liz. How dreadful! She and her family are in my heart and prayers. Hugs Michelle x

Hi Mel,
ReplyDeleteYour boys are gorgeous..
So sad to think of the sorrow your friend is going through.. I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child..
Sending you all love...
I feel sick, too. She was my swap partner for the scissors keeper swap. Such a lovely lady. To lose a child - I pray she gathers the strength from those around her to get her through this. Thinking of her and her family. So, so sad.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers for the family and going to give my own son an extra hug.
ReplyDeleteYour post is a poignant reminder to treasure our loved ones..and tell them so too.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for your friends. It is always difficult and sometimes we never understand why death occurs the way it does. May God be with you and your friends during this time.
ReplyDeleteGod bless this precious family and wrap them in arms of loving comfort. It must be hard for you too sweetie, as their friend. {{{{hugs}}}}
