Tuesday Treasures

I have an enormous fondness for gum trees.
I have five large eucalypts in my garden and they provide a habitat for many birds, bats and animals.
This year the challenge quilt fabric at the Kilmore Quilt Show featured eucalyptus leaves
and the whole quilt show was entitled, "Quilts among the Gum Trees".

So this week for Tuesday Treasures I want to celebrate the gum tree.  The leaves, the bark, the fragrance all remind me of home.
Do you have something you treasure that you would like to share?  It can be anything you want. A place, a person and animal.  A plant, an object, a feeling or a dream.  Just pop your details into Mr Linky and join in the fun.

  5. I have to agree with you Melody there is nothing like the smell or the colour of our Gum trees. Their specific green colour is a favourite of mine teamed with the red earth of outback Queensland. You certainly have some talented stitchers in your quilting group. Great Treasure!

  14. Gum trees are so much a part of Australia. When we were in Europe the forests were beautiful but we missed the colour and fragrance of our eucalypts. The challenge quilts are so lovely and varied.
