Tuesday Treasures

The weather here in Melbourne has been glorious lately.  Spring is a wonderful time of year in my hometown, with crisp sparkling mornings and clear bluest of blue skies.  The weather is mild but beautifully sunny and there are signs of new life everywhere.

I've also really enjoyed Winter.  I love being able to see the bare bones of our gardens and watch the rain fall in abundance.  The country side is green and thank goodness our dams are full again. Nothing is nicer than cuddling up inside on a stormy day, with a mug of hot Milo and a good book to read or a delightful piece of sewing in your hands.

And Autumn is a treat. I think we get the very best weather of all in Melbourne's autumn and it often goes on for months and months.

I'm not very good in the heat so summer is my least favourite time, but when it's not too hot, it is still a joy, and the warm balmy evenings present a wonderful chance to stroll along the beach.

I love the four very different seasons we experience here in Victoria, and they are my Tuesday Treasures today. Thank you to my son, Sammy,  for the photos.

Do you have something you treasure to share with us all.  It can be a person, a place or a thing. An idea, a feeling or a dream.  Anything which brings you joy.  Please pop your details into Mr Linky and join in the fun.

  3. Beautiful photos Melody. You get the extremes of heat in summer and we get the extremes of cold in winter - if only we could mix them up a bit and we would get a happy medium. It has been cold here today...I am dreading winter, I really do not enjoy the cold and wet at all. Oh and I must remember to do Tuesday Treasure in the morning...I found a treasure of mine today when looking for something else - must remember to take photos of it!

  7. Mmmmm - your lovely pics are a welcome reminder of all the wonderful things about Melbourne and its environs for an ex-pat living in Tasmania! Mind you - I think I still prefer the Tassie summer temperatures and lack of humidity!

  19. I enjoy the changing seasons too - although I would love to live in the tropics, and have summer all year round, I can't handle the bug population that goes with it! That's one nice thing about winter, it keeps the bugs down. Love that pic of the beach!
