Little Forest Quilt-along

I've been getting ready for the Little Forest Quilt-Along.
 I've picked my greens,

I've picked my browns and I've gathered a few sewing essentials.

I've downloaded the pattern.  I've joined the Flickr group.  I'm ready to go. Roll on Monday - lets get started.
There is still time for you to join in too. Just pop over to Peas in a Pod to find out more.
I find this quilt-along so appealing because it only goes for a few weeks and, all going well, I'll have a new quilt top by mid October.

Fussy Cut Hexies

Quite a few people have been asking about the nifty little perspex hexie I use for my fussy cut hexie flowers.

You can buy it from Jane's great on-line shop, Want It, Need It, Quilt.  Only $3.50 and a fabulous tool.

A New Swap

If you like participating in swaps, lovely Sandy over at Cookies and Cream Craft has a great one on at the moment.  You need to sign up by 12th September and have six weeks to make and post your scissor keep.

Giveaways

Joanne at Possum Blossom Patchwork has a giveaway where you can win packs of pre-cut fabric hexagons.

Jenny at Sew Fabulous Quilt Shop is having a giveaway with a Going Coastal fat quarter bundle by Emily Herrick for Michael Miller.

Jane at Want It, Need It, Quilt is having a giveaway for a design roll (29 - 2.5" x 44") by Dena Fishbein for Westminster fabrics called Kumari Garden.

Jewel at The Intrepid Thread has one too for an assortment of goodies.

Cathy at Blueberry Patch has some fabulous Halloween themed fat quarters as her giveaway.
