...and another collection.
I've got a bit of a thing about jugs. especially white ones and have quite a few. Here are some of my favourites.
There are more as I've also got quite a few blue and blue and white ones too. I'll save my blue and white china collection for another day. As you can see from these pictures, my house is not decorated in a minimalist style. In fact I adore all my clutter especially the china.
What do you treasure? It can be a thing, a person, a place. An activity, an idea or even a dream. Please share one of your treasures with us today. Just pop your details into Mr Linky and play along.
Love all the different jugs ... and I do love white too.. it is all so pretty at your place....

Oh so beautiful Melody. I love all your china. It fair made me go weak at the knees.... I am not a minimalist decorator either. Maybe if there was no china in the world I might have a chance.
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasure!
Lovely collection of jugs. I have quite a bit of china inherited from my mother (and my grandmother before that). It includes two white jugs with gold plated handles. There are ten teacups and saucers in two styles - I think that one jug goes with one of the styles and the other goes with the other, as the jug styles are not exactly alike. There is also a little dish on a plate in white with gold trim; the kind of thing you would put mustard or pickles in.
ReplyDeleteI love china, too. I don't have much out these days with all the kids. But I do love to look at other peoples. I have a collection of blue willow - which I still have on display. I'd love to have some blue and white striped - Cornishware? - I remember my grandmother having some jugs like this. I must admit, I still can't look at blue and white stripes without thinking of her. Don't know what happened to the china. I have a floral dinner set of hers that I just love. I also have one piece of blue willow of hers - a cup with a broken handle, but I wouldn't part with it for anything. Memories.... Thanks for bringing them back to me.
ReplyDeleteHello Melody,
ReplyDeleteWho can resist a white jug!!! I alwlays think of a hot day and lemon cordial when I see these. Or if it is winter some milk and a cuppa.
Happy collecting.
