John has been unwell, necessitating a trip to hospital so I haven't been doing any sewing over the last couple of days. He is fine and recovering well from a small operation but he is a very naughty patient which can be quite frustrating as he is recovering at home.
So when three lovely parcels arrived yesterday I was extra thrilled.
First one from my lovely friend Shez at Enjoying Life. A Pay-It-Forward present. Shez made me the most beautiful grey bag and scarf. I wear a lot of black, grey and white so it fits my wardrobe beautifully. I am really thrilled with it. Thank you so much Shez.Next two absolutely beautiful hexie flowers from Marta in Florida. They are gorgeous and I will add them to my garden today. They arrived as part of the Inchy Hexie Flower swap so kindly organised by dear Jane.
Last but not least my pin cushion base, a Sew-A-Long orgainised by fantastic Fiona at BubzRugz, arrived home. I cannot thank my wonderful swap partners enough. Dianne, Roslyn and Laura ,you added the most wonderful stitching and embellishments to my pin cushion. This is something I will always treasure. A huge thank you to all.
Dianne also included the most beautiful coaster and cards in my parcel. Thank you so much.
I will be nursing my naughty invalid for the next couple of days which means I get to stay home and stitch which will be wonderful. Here's a sneak peak of a present I am making for the Once a Season swap. I'll be popping it in the post on Monday.
I will also be posting this little hexie flower to Jane at Want It, Need It, Quilt to help her garden grow.
Many thanks to everyone who left me comforting words on the passing of Marieke.
Have a great weekend.
