On Sunday I went to the Tea Cosy Exhibition at the Bundoora Homestead Art Centre.
and enjoyed the fabulous display + a delicious afternoon tea (there's a great cafe there). It got me thinking about all the fabulous exhibitions I've seen at regional art galleries around the east side of Australia, so I'm making them, and the tea cosy exhibition in particular, my Tuesday Treasures this week. So hooray for all the smaller art galleries which I've enjoyed so much over the years and all the treasures contained within.
Do you have something you really treasure. It can be a thing, a person, a place or even an idea or a concept. Please share it here and play along.
Here's a few more fabulous tea cosies.
I love all those tea cosies!! What a wonderful idea for an exhibition.
ReplyDeleteHow cute, love the chicken and the rooster. Tea cozies seem to be making a comeback as a work of art rather than what they are designed to do. Must admit I love a cup of tea made in a teapot covered with a beautiful tea cozy.
ReplyDeleteI love that strawberries teacosy... and the pansies... and the chooks..... so clever
ReplyDeleteHugz
lovely tea cosies.
ReplyDeleteMelody, they are gorgeous.. There is so much history behind a tea cosy, they bring back so many memories of my grandma and her knitting books... I have inherited a silk tea cosy which looks like it may have been from the 1930's era..
ReplyDeleteTea cosies are one of my favourite things. Don't they all look amazing! I totally agree about the regional exhibitions and galleries.
