Thanks for this fabulous idea, Amy.

  1. Just reading through your list Melody and seeing some old favourites. A Town like Alice - have read that one several times and I keep picturing Bryan Brown in the film version, same with The Thorn Birds. Big crush on the man. As for Goodnight Mr Tom the film version has me crying my eyes out. Don't know if I could manage all 100 but will think about it. Good idea though.

  2. I have read quite a few of these but not all 100 for sure , some I have never heard of .My two all time favorites from this list are the Thornbirds and Gone with the Wind, I think that makes me a hopeless romantic ;-) Have fun reading the rest and let us know when you find one you especially love .

  3. I've read 70 of them. I don't think I'll be trying to read many of the ones I haven't read, though. I have far too many on my waiting to read list as it is!
Good Luck with your goal. :)

  5. Some real favourites here but plenty I haven't heard of! I'd love to join in but once I get my nose stuck in a book I can't get it out --- and just now I have too much sewing I want to do!! Maybe I'll print off the list, just in case....!!

  6. Hi Mel, I have read many of them also, still lots to go though, as a child " The Secret Garden" was my favorite and I loved " The Hobbit". My Family say " I would read the labels on jam tins if there was nothing else" Cheers R

  7. Wow Melody, Thanks for joining in! Your to-do list doesn't look as daunting as mine. I have started on Anna Karenina this week and have a few more piled up for my trip away next week.
Now just to figure out how to juggle the rest of my life with this challenge :-P
