This block is my first swap in Quilting Blocks Swap Australia. I made it for Cathy in SA. She asked for autumnal colours, and this block was fun to make. My next swap partner is Sue but I'll have to keep what I'm making for her a secret until she receives it, as I know she reads my blog.
For the last three days, I've been doing another piece of secret sewing. I've been making my Kris Kringle for my sewing group's Christmas Party. Again the recipient may read my blog so I'll have to keep it secret until December 1st when we have our swap.
Apologies to all the lovely people who have left me a comment in the last few days. I love hearing from you and will reply soon but at the moment I'm trying not to play on the computer. Instead I'm concentrating on my Kris Kringle, so that maybe this year I won't be finishing it the night before the party.
The stitchery looks really lovely in redwork!
ReplyDeleteYou did the border like I did, I thought I had made a mistake. I just traced it when I was tracing the main design.
very nice stitchery - effective in the redwork.... I love that block too.....
ReplyDeleteall the best with finishing your Kris Kringle....

Hello Melody,
ReplyDeleteOh that stitchery block is wonderful. There is something special about redwork. Lovely Autumnal block I am sure it will be well received.
Happy days.

Your stitchery is just lovely, Melody, and I LOVE those leaves!!! Yes, it's impossible to be two places at once...I've been spending so much time on the computer the last few days, I've neglected my sewing. I need to switch, lol. Don't you love all the secret sewing this time of year!!!
ReplyDeleteThe red stitchery for a block center is adorable. It will be interesting to see it when it has made the rounds.
ReplyDeleteBoth blocks are wonderful!!!!
