Clare's Tuesday Treasures
I was born in England and emigrated to Australia in 1963 on the SS Arcadia. This dear, sweet, funny, little clock in the shape of a donkey was purchased for me from the shop on the boat. Unfortunately he no longer works, but when he did his eyes moved back and forth as he ticked.
I've always loved donkeys and remember my joy when riding a donkey along the sand when on holidays at the sea-side.
My beautiful friend Rachelle has a new little donkey who has joined her other donkeys, Kit Kat and Olive, and I'm going to visit them on Friday.
Another lovely friend, Rosalie, taught me donkeys love peppermints and adore having inside their ears scratched. You do get donkey ear-wax on your fingers, but they go into a donkey-bliss-state.
Don't forget to pop over to Clare's blog, Clare's Craftroom, to see lots of other Tuesday Treasures.

What a lovely clock Melody and reminder of that big journey moving over.... not the same in a plane! Nice that you get to play with some donkeys every now and then....

How cute is that. Thanks also for the donkey trivia.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy reading your Tuesday Treasures! A little donkey ear-wax on the finger isn't so bad if it makes them happy! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a darling clock! I've never seen a donkey one - black cats, yes, but not donkeys! I love them too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit on Friday!
What an interesting story about Donkeys , never knew those things about those adorable animals . I have always wanted to own one but it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon ;-)Have fun on your donkey visit and give them an extra pat for me .
