This is Chubby. He is a raku fired ceramic dragon that I bought at Eltham Craft market over 20 years ago. He lives on a table on my front deck. He is named after a dragon in a Terry Pratchett novel. Terry Pratchett is the most wonderful writer and it is tragic that he is afflicted with early onset Alzheimers. His novels are incredibly imaginative, funny and wise.
I love to think of Chubby emerging from the pit in the ground where he was fired - the perfect birthplace for a dragon.
