Badgers Creek

Henry is staying with us for a couple of days and John is on holidays.  Coupled with that, the lovely spring weather in Melbourne, lured us out of bed and off we went on a geocaching adventure.  We headed over Healesville way to beautiful Badger Creek.
A magical place...we had a perfect day

.

Henry got a bit chilly in the shady fern filled dells, but didn't last long wearing John's jumper.
Nothing is more thrilling than wild creatures swooping down to share your lunch...we had taken a bit of wild bird seed too, but Henry's kookaburra preferred the salami from his sandwich.

I was very excited to see lovely Gail Pan's new book is about to be released.
I plan to buy a copy at the NOTYQ Quilt Exhibition, as Gail is to be one of our traders.  We have worked really hard to put this exhibition together so I hope, if you live near enough, you will come along. (I'll give all the details in a later post.) Gail's book is also available for pre-order on Amazon HERE.

How about some scrap busting today?  I've got lots of random hexie flowers in my sewing room so I think I will make some of these for the present basket.
There is a great tutorial HERE at Cintia's fabulous blog, My Poppet.  Enormous thanks to Cintia for all she so generously shares with us.
Hope you had a fun day
Love
PS Tonight I'll be stitching along with my bloggy friends.  Pop over and visit lovely Cheryll to sign up.

  9. Henry is growing so fast. He has the greatest smile. It is so fun to see things through a child's again. They just love discovering new things.
