I wanted a bit of orange in the blocks so I re-stitched the little bird in two shades of orange. I also stitched the line encircling the design in pink, one of the colours I used for the flowers in the garden.
I'm really enjoying stitching Flowerville designed by fabulous Rosalie Quinlan. Now to finish Block 2.
I know just about everyone has made a disappearing 9-patch quilt.
But just in case you haven't made a version of this lovely quilt, this is the one made by Milly at Tin Whistle HERE. As you read the post you will find that Milly used Andie's tutorial HERE at Andie Johnson Sews. Enormous thanks to both fabulous bloggers.
Have a happy stitching day
Love
PS I'll be stitching along with many of my bloggy friends tonight as part of FNwF. Thanks for organising this fun event for us, Cheryll.
Simply beautiful stuff Mel.

ReplyDeleteYour block is awesome! And who doesn't love Bonnie & Camille? I hadn't seen that particular fabric batch...love! I have never made nor heard of a "disappearing" 9-patch or 4-patch. I pinned it, of course! Thank you!
