Birds and hexies

I'm sorry this post is late today.  I scheduled it to post at what I thought was 6.30am but being a bit of a scatterbrain I actually set it to post at 6.30 pm ...oh well. Lucky I checked when I got home.

 Quilts in the Barn was so inspiring this year.  Everywhere you looked on the quilts there were fabulous hexies and gorgeous birds too.

I've been refining my stash lately and came across this gorgeous piece.  There is only a 12" square and I have no idea where it came from but I do know what I plan to do with it over Easter.  

Two of my very favourite friends have had birthdays lately so a huge

 to Cheryl for yesterday and Barb today.

    Hi Mel wow those hexies quilts are amazing,love that cushion,sorry didn't ring yesterday ,lots happened,I will try today thou I have to go to town and brave the crowds today xx

    Dying to see what you make with your beautiful bird fabric, Mel! I've got pieces like that in my stash, and can't bear to cut them up into smaller bits, but don't know what else to do with them! Looking to you for inspiration. Are you going to the Quilt convention? I plan to, but don't know what day. Most likely the week days, not the weekend.
