Tyabb retail therapy

There are a couple of fabulous shops in Tyabb.
Magic Patch Quilting is a great patchwork shop with lots of lovely fabrics and very friendly staff.  I could have gone wild but did manage to restrain myself and just bought a bundle of beautiful purple for my reproduction stash and hooray hooray some Country Garden Thread Mistletoe which is just about impossible to find in Melbourne this time of year, with everyone wanting it for their Christmas stitcheries.
A bit weird to have beans in the picture I know but when I took the fabric and thread outside to get a picture on my favourite garden stool I found these beans (I'd picked earlier to go in my lunch time salad) still there so they went into the photo too.
Fresh broad beans, newly picked and steamed are one of my favourite things in a tossed green salad - yum yum yum.

The other fabulous find was 1546 Vintage, which was brilliant.  Just take a look.

Over 60 stalls so there is something for everyone
Everywhere we looked there were memories of things we had in our childhoods.
I thought of Rosie Quinlan when I saw this pyrex - so collectible now - we would have never guessed back in the 60's and 70's.
We could have happily spent the whole afternoon here but we were hungry so it was over the road to a cute little cafe for soup, toasted focaccia and a tasting plate of cakes

Have you been wondering what's been shared on the Moda Bakeshop lately?
Well this absolutely gorgeous table runner for one thing.  Just follow this LINK to the gorgeous Moda Bakeshop and you can make one for yourself or as a fabulous present.  It was designed and shared by clever and generous Robyn from Craft Sisters.
Happy Stitching
Love
