I popped over to Ikea on Tuesday to get a couple of Christmas presents and of course to play in their fabric department. I just can't resist their beautiful linen and fabulous inexpensive cottons.
I spotted this gorgeous linen and cotton scalloped tote at Taylor's fabulous blog Taylor Made.HERE's her version.
She used the pattern and tutorial at clever creative See Kate Sew. HERE's Kate's original.
Oh how I wish we had a Ikea. And you can't buy the fabric over the computer. The closest one is over 3 and half hours away. Needless to say I never get to go. I love that store.
Lucky you! I have no Ikea within 500 miles! LOL! But I do peruse their catalog online. Didn't you go nuts over the fabrics? One can never have enough. I love the bag and wrote down the blog address as she has all kinds of tutorials. Thank you as usual. The bag would be a good way to use up some large scraps.
Did you buy anything at Ikea? I can never find anything...... I must be going at the wrong time!
ReplyDeleteI love playing in the ikea fabric dept too, although by the time we get to the fabric, hubby and kids have had enough and want to go home.
