and one of my favourite places to take him is the Eltham Copper Butterfly themed playground at the Lower Eltham park. The playground is just across the way from the Diamond Valley Miniature Railway and there are always pony rides on a Sunday too.
It is built around a fascinating theme and the setting is really beautiful.
I love that the playground has so many aspects to it, including water play which will be brilliant on warm spring days. And I love that it caters for all children whatever their abilities or disabilities. It is only a few minutes from my home and there are also beautiful walking tracks along the river. No wonder this is one of my favourite spots.
It is really worth a visit, whether you are a local, from across town or even from interstate on a family holiday.
This is why my next year's project is learning to crochet. Then I can make marvellous woolen hexies just like this.
It is brilliant and it is a free pattern HERE at wonderful Lavender and Wild Rose. Huge thanks to Jen for sharing with us.
It sounds like a wonderful place for the young and old to explore.

ReplyDeleteI'm gobsmacked! It has been years since we've been down to the Lower Eltham park - none of that was there back then. Just goes to show what you miss at your own back door when you drive past a place all the time and don't stop!
ReplyDeleteHenry looks like he is enjoying his time there. The park looks amazing . I was not aware that it existed. I will have to put it on my list for the grandies.
ReplyDeleteHenry is looking very happy and enjoying himself. Gorgeous photo and memory.
