was yesterday, so I'm a bit late, but I did want to play along so here's the first quilting book I purchased.
Margaret Rolfe's Australian Patchwork.
It must have been a thirtieth birthday present because of the day it's dated. I can't remember who gave it to me.
I made, John, Sam and I, Christmas stockings using her quilt as you go method and added another to the collection when Jack was born. I wish I could find them now - my tastes in fabric have changed so much over the years.
Here's a LINK to her website so you can read a little about her.
Pop over to the Moda Cutting Table to read more about National Book Lover's Day. Here's the LINK.
There is a new baby due in our extended family so I've been noticing projects that would make great gifts. This nappy changing pad clutch is perfect.
Enormous thanks to clever Jordana at Jordana Paige for the wonderful pattern and easy to follow tutorial HERE.
