I'm making Henry a cheeky little monkey quilt. Yesterday at the NOTYQ sit and sew session I bought the most delightful bundle of green 2 1/2 inch strips of gorgeous fabrics, including quite a number of batiks.
I spent a bit of time sewing some of the strips together for a jungle background for the little monkeys to play. John has to work on Monday's public holiday so I think the monkeys and I will spend the day together.
Super cute little owls are shared, along with their pattern and a tutorial, at fabulous EfemeraInk. Here's the LINK.
Huge thanks to Effie for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI love your monkey quilt. Are you making a regular patchwork and then appliqueing the monkey(s) on top? Darling! Also, cute owls...thanks for the pattern.
ReplyDeleteHenry is going to love the monkey's because his grandma does such wonderful needlework! I hope you enjoyed your day monkeying around! Our little Henry got that flu that has been going around here in the US this past week and had to spend a night in the hospital. Talked to my daughter today and she said he was just starting to have a couple ounces of formula every few hours that did not come back up. We were quite worried and I am so glad he is perking back up.
